Selfmadegod Records proudly presents the first fully official release of the discography from the Polish act SLASHING DEATH. The band had been founded in 1987 by Robert Gasperowicz and was one of the most popular representatives of Death/Grind/Thrash/Core scene in Poland. Taking part in numerous festivals and intensively promoting the band worldwide made them popular at the underground scene back then. The band had received lots of positive reviews and left behind three demo tapes recorded between 1988-1990. The SLASHING DEATH's drummer was VADER's famous Krzysztof "Docent" Raczkowski. The album "OFF" features all S.D.'s demos: "Deathly Ceremonic" (1988), "Irrevocably And With No Hope" (1989) and "Kill Me Cause I Can't Stop" (1990), professionaly remastered and featuring the new artwork. Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Got the chance to see them in November '23. I was really impressed and this album is a great representation of what they do. I was always a huge fan of Angelcorpse, and this band does a fine version of their own take on that blackened/thrash/death metal mx. Really, really great album. Bart
